The year was 2018 and life was an undiagnosed struggle for me. I found myself failing in moments of uncertainty inside and outside of school. My academic performance was suffering to such an extent that my parents had decided to send me away to a boarding school in hopes I would relinquish my delinquency. Well… it worked. However, my time at the new school was an abusive nightmare. The experience left me emotionally and mentally drained. But upon my return home, there was hope waiting for me- this sketch on my desk. The playful shapes reminded me of parts of me I thought I had lost. In 2023 I brought new life to this work as it is now publicly available here as a shirt . Wear this shirt. Feel empowered.
